Day 315, Evening

Today’s evening meditation is available below in audio and script formats. The audio version is also available for free download on the player.

Reading

There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to God:

haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies, and a person who stirs up conflict in a community.

—Proverbs 6:16-19

Quiet

As your day draws to a close, spend a few moments in silence and stillness.

Prayer

God of grace and truth, make me whole, a person of integrity who heals and makes peace. I pray for eyes that see what’s best in others, a graceful and candid mouth, hands that never twist but hold up truth, a heart that aims to encourage, and feet that pursue my neighbor’s best. Amen. (HC)
