Day 201, Evening

Today’s evening meditation is available below in audio and script formats. The audio version is also available for free download on the player.

Reading

Keep on loving one another as siblings. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.

—Hebrews 13 (NT)

Quiet

As your day draws to a close, spend a few moments in silence and stillness, meditating on the words you just read.

Dwelling

Be reminded that you are in God’s presence and read again. Notice how God might be speaking to you through the words. Dwell on a word or phrase that jumps out at you, and let your heart respond to God in silent prayer.

Prayer

God of my heart, may my affections never run contrary to any of your commandments, but may your love be my greatest pleasure. In Christ’s name, amen. (HC)
